Tallahassee Florida's capital celebrates the beauty of the season during the 40th annual Springtime Tallahassee on March 28-30. One of the largest festivals in the Southeast, it typically attracts more than 200,000 visitors to the area.
Springtime Tallahassee includes Jubilee in the Park featuring handcrafted items, a Children's Park, four local entertainment stages, and national entertainment acts; a 10K run, and golf tournament. Among the festival's many highlights is the Parade with more than 70,000 participants at 10:30 a.m. on March 29 (starting point is Monroe Street and Thomasville Road) and the Downtown GetDown, a street party with live music for dancing and entertainment on March 28 (in the Adams Street Commons).

Maitland The 17th annual Florida Film Festival at the Enzian Theater from March 28 to April 6 may be the ticket for movie buffs. The 10-day event offers the chance to check out 150 film premieres (chosen from more than 1,500 submissions from more than 30 countries) plus experiences in food and wine, parties and special happenings.
Among the celebrities attending the festival this year is "No Reservations" (The Travel Channel) host Anthony Bourdain. The Enzian Theater, surrounded by oaks, a fountains and courtyard, is located at 1300 South Orlando Avenue in Maitland. St. Augustine The Old City puts on its annual Spring Art & Craft Festival on St. Francis Field on Castillo Drive on March 29-30. This juried show presents the work of 125 artists working in a variety of media. Event hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. Admission is $1. Dade City Downtown Dade City sets the scene for the Spring Antique Fair March 29-30. Dealers from all over Florida showcase their wares on the Eighth Street Parking Lot (behind Centennial Building and Agnes Lamb Park).

White Springs The Florida Trail Association invites one and all to get outdoors this March during the Florida Hiking Festival. The event, at Stephen Foster Folk Culture State Park on March 28-30, offers guided hikes along the Suwannee River and the Florida Trail, seminars, workshops and traditional crafts.
