Alaska Department of Natural Resources officials are urging trail users to act cautiously after bears temporarily blocked a portion of the Turnagain Arm Trail Friday.

A mother and two bear cubs refused to move off the trail near McHugh Creek Access. Officials shot fireworks near the animals and scared them away.
