The book is geared toward hikers and trail runners, and while Boise is in the title, it covers a much larger area.

Among the 75 trails are hikes near Cascade and Bruneau and in eastern Oregon. Trails also range from easy Greenbelt hikes to a "death march" in the Foothills.

Stuebner, who has authored numerous guidebooks for Southwest Idaho, gives experienced trail users new ground to cover and newcomers a huge variety of trails, from out their back doors to the regional favorites as they expand their adventures.
