The state Department of Land and Natural Resources has suspended the issuance of permits to
hike on the Kalalau Trail or camp in Na Pali Coast State Park until the weather improves.

DLNR officials said recent heavy rains have resulted in dangerous trail and stream-crossing conditions.

Signs have been posted at the trail head to notify would-be hikers and campers of the closure.
