Hiking club seeks to establish Dyersburg chapter
By State Gazette

For many nature lovers, there is just nothing quite like the lure of a trail twisting into the trees ahead..

Local residents who would like to connect with other hiking or walking enthusiasts will have the chance to do just that and possibly cut a new trail into the area with the beginning of a Dyersburg chapter of the Tennessee Trails Association.

An organizational meeting for the TTA will be held at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, May 20, at the Dyersburg Activity Center.

The statewide hiking club is looking for people who love to hike, regardless of their skill level. The club consists of new and seasoned hikers who share a desire to be outdoors, participate in invigorating outdoor exercise, meet interesting people and build and maintain trails for future generations.

Tuesday's meeting will offer an opportunity to learn about local hiking opportunities and the TTA.
