A Santa Barbara County, Calif., hiking trail winding close to Air Force missile launch sites and bunkers will soon reopen, the Los Angeles Times reports.
Vandenberg Air Force Base security forces closed the sandy path early last year, according to the Times, but now an agreement with county officials will allow hikers back onto the trail. The path comes very close to underground missile bunkers, Air Force spokesmen said.
The seaside trail will, however, close during missile launches and other exercises.
General access to the path, now blocked by a Vandenberg Air Force Base barrier, is expected to return in April.
