I can't believe that our elected politicians are so weak that they cave in to the wishes of our governor concerning the cigarette tax increase.

We elected them, but they have really let us down! Lawmakers have heard over the last couple of years what the people really wanted and what their concerns were, but they totally ignored the concerns of the very people who elected them to office.

It boils down to money, and what they have done puts more value on the dollar than on the lives of people. How sad! They should think about the impact. My guess is that they have many restless nights from their lowering the value of human life, which is one of the greatest gifts that God has given us.
