A 19-year-old male sustained minor injuries after falling on a hiking trail and requiring emergency assistance, according to authorities.
Emergency personnel responded at about 5:30 p.m. this afternoon near Prairie Dells Road in the Lincoln County town of Schlei, said Jason Wyland, a firefighter and paramedic with the Merrill Fire Department.
The man fell while hiking along the trails in the woods. Lt. Tim Gerdmann of the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department said the man fell and cut his foot, and mainly needed assistance because he was in a difficult location to get out of.
Town of Russell first responders went to the scene along with Merrill fire and the sheriff’s department. Rescue workers retrieved the man using a six-wheeler.
