Montgomery County officials will consider a plan to create a hiking and biking trail with parts paralleling the Intercounty Connector.

The Montgomery County Planning Board will hold a public hearing July 10 on the idea. Segments of the trail would parallel the 18-mile highway that's currently being built.

Officials are still working out details, such as what the trail will look like and whether it should be paved.

The board says it will also take up other issues relating to the highway construction at the meeting.
