The eleven year old boy collapsed on a trail in Tar Hollow State Park, just south of Columbus. Authorities say the boy started to overheat and wasn't feeling well.

he scout leader gave him water and tried to cool him down in the creek.

He also called 911, but emergency crews could not revive the boy.

His family says they were not aware of any medical conditions that might have caused his collapse.
